Brian McGinty

Brian McGinty, J.D., is a writer and historian whose interests include American history, the history of the American West, and American legal history. Born and raised in California, he earned degrees in American history and law from the University of California, Berkeley. He practiced law for ten years before beginning a writing career that has produced a dozen books and almost 200 articles in popular magazines and scholarly journals.
