Laura DeLuca
Laura DeLuca, Ph.D., is a faculty member in the Sewell Residential Academic Program and the anthropology department at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she teaches courses on refugees, Africa, social entrepreneurship, international development, and global engineering. She has done extensive fieldwork in East Africa and has written articles on her experiences with Sudanese refuges in Anthropology News, Anthropology Matters, and Journal of Refugee Studies. Laura is a co-editor of Building Peace from Within: An Examination of Community-based Peacebuilding and Transitions in Africa. Lost Girl Found was an ALA Notable Children’s Book and won the Colorado Book Award for Young Adult Literature.
