Laurie Edwards
Laurie Edwards is a writer, editor, and writing instructor at Northeastern University. She received a B.A. from Georgetown University and an M.F.A. in nonfiction writing from Emerson College. She primarily teaches Advanced Writing for the Health Professions and Writing to Heal, with particular interest in online/hybrid pedagogy, diversity and inclusion in the writing classroom, and narrative medicine. Laurie’s writing has been published in the New York Times, the Boston Globe, and Glamour, and she has appeared on NPR’s Fresh Air with Terry Gross and NBC’s Today with Maria Shriver to discuss gender and pain. An advocate for young adults with chronic illness, she is a frequent speaker at conferences, virtual conferences, webinars, and other venues.
